The Gems Dance Company is a group of dedicated, dynamic and versatile young people at Chesco Dance Center who enjoy and love the art form of DANCE.
This pre-professional training program prepares dedicated and passionate dancers for a career in the Dance Arts. Pre-professionals participate in a rigorous training program, performance, and competition events, to learn necessary skills that prepare them for entry into a university dance program and/or professional dance company.
Classes and workshops are designed to train the Pre-Professional in areas of technique, artistic development, production, wellness/nutrition and arts management.
The members of Gems Dance Company take required classes and attend rehearsals each week building strong technique and endurance. Gems can perform in as many as 5 dances with the company. Their routines are rehearsed and performed in the annual Gems Gala, Dance Competitions, Community events, recitals and special appearances throughout the year.
Dance company members' ages range from 4 through 18.
