Mindy Passio
The love for dance was put into Ms.Mindy’s heart at the early age of five which is when her mother enrolled her at a local dance studio. She has been immersed in the industry ever since.
Ms.Mindy has been fortunate enough to spend summers training with the Briansky Saratoga Ballet, the New York City Dance Alliance, and was also accepted into the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts on a full modern dance scholarship.
Ms.Mindy has spent most of her professional career training at Broadway Dance Center, where she later moved on to become an intern and was mentored by Jim Cooney. Mindy is currently featured on the Intern page on the Broadway Dance Center website for her current accomplishments.
Ms. Mindy has been seen performing on stages from NYC to Oklahoma and even on the big screen! Ms. Mindy has worked with choreographer Mandy Moore, as a featured dancer, on the feature film “The Silver Linings Playbook.” Most recently Mindy did a photo shoot for the NFL and Nike as a fashion representative for the Pittsburgh Steelers. She has also worked on the film “Paranoia” as a featured dancer and a TV series “Do No Harm,” which aired on NBC.
Ms. Mindy has taught at a variety of studios and has worked with numerous companies in the Philadelphia region and her choreography has been seen on stages all over the east coast.
Ms. Mindy specialties in dance include; ballet, contemporary, and musical theater. When Ms. Mindy is not teaching in the studio, she can be found donating her time teaching contemporary dance for an organization called “Hope Dances”, which is designed to bring dance into the lives of special needs children. Ms Mindy is also a competition judge for Turn It Up Dance Challenge and just loves everything about dance!
